  1. Prince Charles is an adulterer & should not inherit the throne because of that fact!!  After the Queen..the Monarchy should end.  William doesn't really want the job!!

  2. Nooo. Even if he'll only be king for like 2 weeks, they'd still put him there. Ever since he was born he's been set to be King.

But then when he dies, William will be like 30 or 40.

  3. If Charles dies before his mother, the question will be settled at that time.  Why rush things?  Elizabeth is not about to get off the throne in the short term.

  4. Give it to Tony Blair ...he would make a great King

  5. I don't think he will I think he will abdicate for Prince William. Once he has had the chance to grow into his selfhood.

  6. Yes,I think he should step aside and let William become King.Charles will be about eighty then.

  7. Britian has for too long now been ruled by an old and decrepid monarcy that has no revelence in todays society. Its a total waste of tax payers money too keep them all in such a lavish lifestyle. the whole monarcy should relincrish there titles and get a council house somewhere and the goverment can then plough the money into something of good use like the nhs or schools!! Just my opinion!! :)

  8. No, since Prince Charles was born in November 1948, he'll soon be 60.  In comparison,

---Pope John Paul II was a vigorous 58 when he succeed to the Papacy.

---Pope Benedict was 78 when he became Pope.

---Winston Churchill was 66 when he entered his first term as Prime Minister in 1940.

---Prime Minister Gordon Brown is 57.

---Ronald Reagan became the United States President at a hearty age 70.

---John McCain, the current Republican candidate for US President, is a young 72.

Since when did succeeding to the British Crown become a beauty or popularity contest?

  9. No. When someone is older and more mature like Prince Charles, they are in a better position to take over the throne because they have more experience. When he passes on, Prince William will be much older, and in a better position to rule.

  10. No.  There is no age limit to becoming King, and it is a job for life.  If Charles is still alive when his mother dies, no matter what age he is, he will be King.

  11. Yes, indeed... they all should walk away... just stick to being a tourist attraction.... let them earn their pay.... they do have a role to play even today but it is a TINY one and not one that merits all the riches they have at our expense....  :(

  12. No.He is not too old.Charles' reign was always expected to be a short one.William will ascend the throne when it is his time.

It is sad that so many people fail to realize that age and experience go hand in hand;Charles will be well-prepared.In recent years the Queen has Charles reading more state papers and having his own meetings with the prime minsters because she wants a smooth transtition when the time comes;Charles is expected to do the same for William.

I know it may be hard for some of you younger people to grasp, but with age comes wisdom. As you grow older(everyone does unless they die) hopefully you will have learned much along the way.

  13. No.  The Prince of Wales should not renounce his claim to the throne.  When HM Queen Elizabeth II dies, HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales will become our King, our rightful King.

In the meantime, we have our soverign, HM Queen Elizabeth II to lead our nation.

    GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  14. 1  No - he's only 73.

2  Do you know something I don't?  "Eldest" denotes at least three children - and, if heirs apparent, all within marriage ...

  15. No he is not When you consider how old King Edward VII was when he became king

    King Edward VII

    Full Name: Albert Edward

Born: November 9, 1841 at Buckingham Palace

Parents: Queen Victoria and Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha

    Relation to Elizabeth II: great-grandfather

    House of: Saxe-Coburg-Gotha

Ascended to the throne: January 22, 1901 aged 59 years

Crowned: August 9, 1902 at Westminster Abbey

Married: Alexandra, daughter of Christian of Denmark

Children: Three sons including George V, and three daughters

Died: May 6, 1910 at Buckingham Palace, aged 68 years, 5 months, and 24 days

    Buried at: Windsor

  16. That is age discrimination. You wouldn't say that in the commercial world, so why say it when it comes to the throne?

Having said that, I think he should pass on to Prince William. He has done a brilliant job promoting green issues and better relations between communities in Britain, but the appalling way he handled Diana marks him down on moral grounds for me.

  17. Queen Victoria's son, Edward VII, was 60 when he became king. What would stop an old man from becoming King?  It's not as if he had anything to do.
