  1. yes psychology is good for everything.. but that wouldn't be the only classes I was taking

  2. I know a lot of people that do interviews for the medical school that I work at and I can tell you you 100% confidence that they get bored interviewing a steady stream of Biology and Pre-med majors. As long as you do all of the pre-med course work and do relatively well, it is a great advantage to do a 'non-traditional' major. Psychology is fine (although everyone will assume that you want to become a psychiatrist). Economics, language, history, english anything unique will stand out in their minds and give you an advantage.

Knowing some biology and chemistry is only a part of becoming a doctor. Medical schools really want well rounded individuals who can write well and interact with people. I always advise pre-med students to major in something that you are passionate about, because that will come through in the interview.

  3. Try biological sciences or chemistry.

I want to go to medical school and I'm majoring in chemistry right now.  It's a lot of work.  lol.
