Tim mccarver mentioned today and on last weeks game how pudge is the problem for the yankees pitching staff because he hasnt learned them yet. I mean look at how Veras and Ramirez have been doing since the deadline and how they done before. Look at pettite in his past two starts.

We need Molina and now. Is pudge standing in the way??

  1. A decent point. But before the eighth inning today, no one could have said much about Pudge. You can't fault the Yankees for getting Pudge because Molina isn't an everyday guy and Posada is injured.

He'll get used to them eventually.

  2. nope

    they just bite

  3. I almost stopped reading after seeing "Tim McCarver mentioned....". Sure Pudge is still learning but don't blame all the pitching problems on him. The Yankees have had a lot of problems in that department for the last few years. Somebody needs to wake up and do something about it. The offense is taken care of (actually need to get rid of a few). Get some pitching this winter!!!!!!!!!

  4. molina actually caught both of pettites starts becayse he wasnt comfortable with pudge yet. . . didn seem to help much. Hamilton still blasted him

  5. Give Pudge back to us. Obviously we need him. Look at our record since he left.

  6. Angels just own the Yanks ,so how can Molina help that?

  7. Where have you been? The Yankees have had pitching problems ALL year.

  8. NO! Hellooo pudge has been on the DL for the past week or so

  9. McCarver in his playing days couldn't even be mentioned in the same breath of peers Thurman Munson, Johnny Bench, Carlton Fisk, or for that matter even Steve Yeager or Jim Sundberg.  Now that Pudge has became the single greatest defensive catcher in history, McCarver is totally CLUELESS as an analyst in the broadcast booth as well, I long ago discovered if the game is being broadcast by Joe Buck & Tim McCarver it's time to find a better way to spend my Saturday afternoon.

  10. In no way, shape or form is Molina an everyday catcher. Sure, Pudge is learning the staff - but he needs to be in the game to do that. There may be some temporary growing pains, but the pitchers can always shake Pudge off if they don't like the pitch he's calling..hard to blame Pudge for that. And, if there were really a problem with the pitch selection they should call from the bench until Pudge learns the staff.

I used to really like McCarver as an announcer but lately he seems to be getting a little soft between the ears.

  11. As a Red Sox fan, I don't mind it one bit !!

  12. Well yes as Yankee Fans lets start blaming people and will were at hit s***w the season, the Yankees wont make it

NO, still the pitchers need to locate and continue and do what they do
