Question:

Is Putin right about his claim the Georgia incident was about the US Presidential election?

Putin has claimed the assault launched by Georgia on South Ossetia was a ploy to attract votes for John McCain.

Now we do know that there were indeed 1000 US military trainers and advisors in Georgia but they left just one week before Georgia started the assault.

We also know that Bush and Condi Rice have made a huge fuss over this incident - which far outweighs it's significance.

We also know that Bush has been inconsistent over this matter - endorsing Kosovo's independence - but against South Ossetia's independence.

And we also know it is pure hypocrisy to criticise Russia invading Georgia for a fortnight - when US has taken part in a much larger invasion of Iraq - and remained there for 5 years.

We also know that McCain's chief foreign policy advisor has been paid over $100,000 by Georgia to lobby for their interests.

Seems to me that Putin might be onto something.

And he's not the only one - Pat Buchanan is also questioning what Bush is up to in Georgia.

  1. Yes. It backfired. Americans can't be led through fear anymore.

  2. I trust Putin even less than I trust Bush so I would need more evidence than just his word. He was part of the KBG and we should never forget it. Remember this story

  3. They surely don't understand that it's not who votes for you that counts it's who counts the votes for you. you'd think that someone in putin's position would understand the way the world works, he must be saying this to create interest among people who think that elections are fair.

  4. No, and anyone who thinks so is either

    A) a communist loving russia supporter brainwashed by Putin,

    B) An idiot, or

    C) A left wing conspiracy theorist just yelling anything remotely anti-bush the second they hear it without second thought.

    Take your pick my friends.

  5. No-one outside the US doubts it - the US is paying the usual collaborator politicians, Miliband, Sarkozy etc,  to say their lines, but the people they claim to represent regard them with contempt.

Wake up, you Americans - you're being taken for a ride by these crooks again!

  6. Yes, I doubt Putin would make such a claim unless it was true.

  7. Yes I think so.

This conflict was created for the CIA in order to boost the militaristic image of McCain,
