Is QVGA 320x240 good for a video camera???

  1. the Q in QVGA stands for quarter-size. this is a picture that is 1/4th the resolution of standard video. so no, it does not qualify as being "good". It was very popular in the 80s and 90s when most computers did not handle regulation video very well and hard drives were under 2 gig. today it is mostly a sales gimmick to sell still cameras to people who really need a camcorder.


  2. For a video camera, that's too low, video cameras should record at atleast SD 640x480. But for picture camera, recording on a memory card, 320x240 is about what you would expect.
