  1. Don't know, but I'm a Republican too

  2. The Republican Party used to be the party of abolition.  The Democrat Party was staunchly anti-abolition.  Now, it seems that they are both pro-slavery and anti-freedom.  Which one of them wants to abolish the IRS and dissolve the Federal Reserve Corporation?  Neither.  Which one promotes personal liberty and responsibility?  Neither.  Which one allows you to choose for yourself?

  3. When I think "Republican", I think of someone who wants to prevent same-s*x couples from getting married, who wants to prevent women from making certain reproductive choices, who oppose strict environmental standards, who support Intelligent Design being taught in science classes, etc.

I know this may not apply to all Republicans but it seems like a generality that's more often than not accurate.

    And I don't like it.

I may like the person but I don't like their stances.  I especially don't like it when their votes effect the way I am and am not allowed to live.  Then again I'm sure Republicans, to a degree, feel the same way about Democrats.

  4. Kinda noticed that a tad too

  5. Hm...  Don't know.

I'm Republican, too.  *waits to see how many thumbs down she gets*

My husband is also Republican and hangs out in the political section of Y!A.  He says it's more 50/50, with perhaps a slight advantage to the conservative right.

  6. San Francisco and Seattle are not Red cities.

  7. I'm a registered, right-wing conservative Republican.

We can hide under my table.

    ;-p

  8. This ain't nothin'. Try Seattle!

  9. I suggest that the UK, EU, Japan and Australia are also places that consider Republicans to be A holes.

  10. *throws weapons of mass destruction at you*

Oh, wait, I forgot they don't exist. :)

  11. i dont know i never voted so i could care less what affiliation you are

  12. I think because most people associate Republican with "fundamental Christian hilbilly" :P

I lol'ed so hard at Ethan's response XDD

  13. No, I don't think so, it's just the republicans have better things to do than to be here.

  14. It's just unpopular to not be a Democrat.  I'm more neutral than anything else (I've voted Democrat, Republican, and Independent in the past, and am not affiliated with any political party), and on political questions I always get lots of thumbs-down.  I'd say being neutral gets me more thumbs-down than being Republican would.  ;)

And as a sidenote, I'm from Tacoma, so it's interesting that you're from a city about 45 minutes from Seattle.  :)

I'm the only one of my friends NOT voting for Obama.

  15. I'm not sure, but for popular go to Elections.

They'll give you hugs and cheers there.

  16. Ethan - Weapons of mass destruction do exist! They're called Bibles and Quaran etc.
