Is transfered video from RCA jacks has the same quality as the one transfered from Firewire?

  1. No. because one is analog and the other is digital.


  2. No. The video quality is not the same.

    The video transferred using the RCA jacks is "composite" and is analog. This is lowest quality.

    The video transferred via firewire is digital and highest quality DV or HDV from a miniDV tape based camcorder.
