Is RENU multipurpose solution safe to use??

Question

Just wondering if its worth buying from Baush & Lomb eye care ever again after the RENU solution recall, I have an unused solution of lot number GD7011 exp. 2009-04 which is somewhat new and I was wondering if its safe?

If you purchased this solution during the scare, I wouldn't suggest using it.  But if you bought it afterwards, I'm sure it's fine.  The thing is, there's a risk with any product we purchase.  I live in Tx, and we just had a salmonella outbreak in our tomato produce.  I threw out the tomatoes I had just purchased when the danger was reported on the news, but I just bought some a couple of days ago, once they were put back on shelves.  If I quit using every product completely, once it was recalled, I wouldn't be able to buy anything!

The solution with problem was a particular batch of Bausch & Lomb MoistureLoc ® contact lens solution and was retrieved and removed from the markets in May 2006.

when did you purchased it? if you bought it after may 2006, it's most probably not the solution that has problem. Other solutions like bausch and lomb renu multiplus or renu multiplus is absolutely safe as they are of a different formulas. im using bausch and lomb renu multiplus and it is very safe :)
