Is Rashid Latif on Afghani opium or Pakistani hashish?
The original whistle blower, the former captain, the phenomenon in the dubious world of match-fixing, Rashid Latif has resigned – again! Yes, again. Wow, talk about getting jobs in this world of recession. The former captain has now taken up a job as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rashid-Latif-c84084 had claimed in August, 2010 that he had “irreconcilable differences with officials in the Afghan board”. Huh, so what’s up with this guy?
So according to investigations, the current resignation comes due to a blow to his principles. Duh. Apparently, Rashid’s belief in democracy and freedom of speech was dealt with an iron fist by PCB’s efficient management. A show cause notice was served to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s most controversial player for openly criticising everything in his path on a local television show. But this just goes on to prove one main point – the extreme levels of unprofessionalism prevalent amongst Pakistani cricketers. Rashid Latif is in the end, a product of this system. But one must say that Latif has mastered the art of writing resignation letters, as out of the last 2756 resignations that the player has written - all have been accepted and approved.
Rashid Latif had signed a contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board after his fall out with the Afghan board. And as all sane agreements go, you have to follow the rules and regulations of the company/organisation/anything that pays you the money so you can foot your bills. But isn’t that too hard for a former Pakistani skipper? h**l Yeah. But why go on national television and represent himself as the patriotic Pakistani? Well, because Rashid Latif is one true representative.
After 4 military interventions in the country, where armed uniformed men have overthrown the constitution in the gutter like a silly piece of paper, one can assume that Pakistanis don’t like rules. Is that clear?
"I have sent my explanation to the board with reference to the notice but I would like to make it clear here that while it is an honour to serve Pakistan cricket in any position I can't remain quiet on a key cricket issue that could determine the future of Pakistan cricket," Latif said in a press release.
So there you have it.
Latif went ahead with Pakistan’s national pass time in recent years to criticise http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128. Can you believe that a 70 odd year old man has the entire nation’s pass time in his control - is ogling, p**n and drugs all secondary in front of Butt? Whatever. Some say Butt has kryptonite, while others have linked him to Shakira – because Butt’s can’t lie, or was that hips?
So coming back to the point, Latif wants Butt’s resignation and if my count is right, it’s the 490863421 time that someone has said that. Phew, that’s what you call demand. According to the keeper, all the three musketeers should have been fired, banned and sent into oblivion. What? But what about the investigations by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scotland-c756 Yard Mr. Latif? It is important to recall that ‘one is innocent until proven guilty’ – well that’s how the majority in this world would like to believe.
So Rashid Latif is headed back to Afghanistan after his “irreconcilable differences with officials in the Afghan board” all sorted out.
After butter fingers aka Kamran Akmal and deplorable batsman c*m wicket-keeper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sarfaraz-Ahmad-c88815 as the only wicket-keepers that Pakistan could produce due to a Rashid Latif Academy, one just prays and hopes that Afghani wicket-keepers know what is going to happen in the days to come. Well Done Ijaz Butt, for once you have done something good. Thank You. But we still hate you.
