Is Red Bull 18+ ?

I purchased a 4-pack earlier today. The woman behind the counter ID'd me to make sure I was over 18, she said that they had to check because it's illegal to sell to minors. I said that I had never heard of that and her response was that most stores just don't care but they aren't supposed to sell most energy drinks to minors because of addictive ingredients.

I've never heard of this, is it true?

I'm in Michigan by the way.

I don't think so, although it is not recommended for smaller children.

unless your state has a weird law about energy drinks, she shouldn't have done that.

i live in georgia and in 15. i buy them ALL THE TIME. i send my little brother (he's 10) into the store to buy them. lol

It's not true. I read this week that some high schools are banning energy drinks on school grounds.  So maybe the cashier was confused or just jerking your chain.

there is a bill in Kentucky to make it illegal to sell to minors, but doing some searches on the net for other states, i see nothing, and i am sure there would be people complaining if it was.

i'v never heard of that i went and bought a red bull in a tiny town in colorado and they never id me and i was 13

thats a load of BS. well, i've never been to michigan but down here in louisiana i also buy red bull and whatever energy drink you can think of...i'm only 14.
