Is Riedell Bronze Medallion Model 28/280 very good skates?

it depends what level you are in. If you are in the lower freestyle levels then it will be perfect. If you are just a beginnger then they might not be the best for you.I It also depends how much you will skate and how fast you want to improve. I you plan to have all your singles ina year then you might want the next level up of skates. if you plan to be on toe loop by next year they will work just fine

"Very good" is relative.  Compared to the junky plastic skates you find in SportMart it's very good.  But if you're landing your double jumps this would not be a very good skate for you.

The Bronze Medallions are rated to top out at Freestyle 2.  Check this chart:

If you're just barely getting started, like if you can't even do a one-foot glide yet, they might be a little stiff for you.  But it appears to be a good choice for a beginner skate that you expect to take you through your beginning jumps.
