Is Rihanna really broke?

ive just read on a couple of websites that rihanna might be broke because of money issues with the record label shes with. It says that she only has $20,000 dollars left to her name. Its kinda sad because its the same thing that happen to TLC. Its not shocking with the music buisness these days but I wonder if its true......

At first I was skeptical of the matter. Rihanna has so many deals (commercials, endorsements, etc) plus she's extremely popular now; she's almost right up there with Beyonc`e popularity wise. However, it's not exactly IMPOSSIBLE for a top selling artist to become broke or even file for bankruptcy. (Like, as you said,TLC for example) although TLC's reasons for going bankrupt was due to not only mismanagement but legal fees, it's still possible that even a popular singer like Rihanna can lose money due to mismanagement.

I 'read' that the people who are handling her money spent most of her earnings from endorsements and sponsorships on making her a big star (the video shoots, the concerts, recording albums, etc) She has some really good singles (Umbrella, S.O.S, Pon De Replay) which got a huge response from the public, yet her album sales are not making as much as her single sales; plus, her record company isn't really "funding her" really well according to her former business manager Patricia Williams. So, instead of Rihanna actually keeping her earnings from the Commercials, Endorsements, Sponsorships etc and spending that money on whatever she wants...her management  instead spends that money on the costs for Recording, Videos and Concerts, etc...  

I don't know; I'm really questioning whether the story is true or not. This could be a rumor that Patricia Williams (Rihanna's former Business Major) is stirring up out of revenge for being fired. Or maybe Patricia Williams didn't say it at all and this is just some typical Internet rumor. Even still, the details given in regards to "Rihanna going broke" makes the story seem a little more plausible. We'll just have to wait and see.

Noooo she is not,

I was believing it at first but then I check perezhilton.com and if it were at least a little true, he would have written about it.

I found an article on the internet and in the title of the article they spelled her name wrong!

She has a fourth album in the works and I doubt that her assistants would let her begin to work on a new album knowing that she is going broke, there is promotion to do, music videos, a whole lot of stuff that would be impossible to do without at least $1Million.

Rihanna could NOT have had only a little over a million to her name, that is a ridiculously low amount since she has been in so many magazine covers, promoting clothing, she even owns her own line of umbrellas.

I think it is a rumor, and I will keep on thinking it is a rumor until Rihanna has addressed the issue.

AND

Rihanna was named one of the richest teens just about a year ago.

If it is true I don't feel sorry for her. She should have been wiser with her money. She doesn't have to live extravagantly and beyond her budget.

I doubt it. She's got contracts with Cover Girl and others, so she'll be fine. She's so beautiful and I'm sure more designers, etc. will sign her as a model.

honestly i really dont understand why people say their broke

when they have $20,000

im 15 and i only have like $50

learn to live with what you got

and besides she has a boyfriend that has alot of money
