  1. He was a poet. The Métro station is named after him.

    Read the Stephen Clarke books on living in France. In one, a character wants to rename himself after the poet but all his fellow Americans think it's "Rambo"!


  2. Rimbaud is a famous French poet. Most of the stations have the names of the places they are close to so the station is closed to Rimbaud the place in the city.

  3. I think that all of our metro station bear the name of a personality or of an event important to our history

    (I am not sure to be very clear). Political, scientifical. But all names are part of our history.

    Arthur Rimbaud was a young poet, he died very young and is one of the most famous poet. Learnt at school.

    By the way, is Kennedy the name of an airport or more than this ;-)
