Is Robert Bass related to Sam Bass (the old train/bank robber)?

You would probably have to know Fort Worth history to know this (which obviously I don't). Robert Bass was the nephew of Sid Richardson. The Bass family practically owns Fort Worth. They have a LOT of money invested in the city. Anyway, I was wondering if they were related to Sam Bass and if that is how they obtained their money in the first place.

    Perry Bass is one of this family.  His obit talks about Sid Richardson borrowing a small amount of money (big in those days?) and the fortune built on that loan.

    I don't see indication from this story that the funds came from the famous robber or his money.
