  1. No he hasn't yet but the 2 years before Federer had that clay court coach he  lost to nadal in 4 sets in stead of 3 sets and the third set being a love set. So basically watch out if this gets into federer's mind then i think he is gonna fire his coach

  2. yes

  3. I don't think so. He hired him for clay season, especially for RG. While, this year Federer achieved worse result on clay, only winning Estoril, compared to Hamburg last year. Plus, he suffered the worst lost in RG. So, no reason for him to keep him as coach any longer.

  4. Yes, they asked him about that in the interview after the final on Sunday.

    Q. Are you going to continue working with José Higueras?

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah. I mean, we spoke about it briefly at the beginning of Paris, you know. He's going to come to Halle with me, and he's also going to be in Wimbledon. It's something we're going to speak about the next few weeks, you know.

But I've given the request that he should consider what weeks he wants to join me for the rest of the year, so we'll see how it goes

  5. first of all i was never no1 tennis fan

n i know very well onyl federer nadal dokovic n sharapova

i not sure if roger had parted with his clay coach

    but he shouldnt

    n i know he wont

    1) federer wasnt that bad

    at least not until final

he made it through to the last 2

which means he won what i'd call a French Open B

which involved all players except you-know-who

    it shows he's clay no2

    2) you cannot expect to grow a tall tree overnight can you?

for heavens sake its only their first seasons together

as example i'd use my fave sport, football

Chelsea FC of England was bought by a Russian tycoon in 2003

Jose Mourinho of Portugal (who won the European Cup that year with his portuguese club) came to become the new coach the year after after our Russian friend fired the previous coach cos of lack of result

So Jose did bring the English League back-to-back titles on his first season n the next (2005-06)

But our Russian friend was not satisfied n called for a European title (which he had always longed for)

After 3 seasons of 6 domestic titles and no European victory, Jose resigned

I guess cos he is sick n tired of the Russian tycoon

So last year a new coach took over

    And guess what?

Here I show you the recap of Jose Mourinho's titles in Chelsea

2005 English League, English Lg Cup, English Super Cup

    2006 English League

2007 English FA Cup, English League Cup

    2008?

    English League 2nd

    English League Cup 2nd

    English FA Cup last 8

    European Cup 2nd

And for the European Cup, Chelsea missed the title by an inch, literally

The final went to penalty shootouts (overtime in basketball) and a Chelsea player almost, nearly won the title

If he had scored the title was secured

But his shot hit the goalpost

And so did Chelsea's quest for European Cup

    Lesson learned?

    1) dont expect quick results

three years is short time in football to build a really strong team

equivalent to i guess 1-2 years in tennis

    2) dont change your coach like changing girlfriend

after the 2008 season ended with no trophy the latest coach who suceeded Mourinho, well, was sacked

good coach is no guarantee for success

    3) put your golden egg in the safest basket

for your info Jose Mourinho was n i believe still is the best coach in soccer

but Chelsea didnt treat well so he went off

n now he is with the club that is Italian champions

its like Federer giving Nadal all his secret training methods

    4) changing coach is unlikely to improve situation

with Jose on helm, Chelsea won an average of 2 trophies each season

    witht the new coach, none

Federer with his coach finishes second in Roland Garros

without might not even make it to final

    5) Lady Luck doesnt like it

as i wrote above Chelsea missed the European Cup this year by literally an inch

its just like Kobe Bryant slipping when going to dunk at Lakers 99-100 Celtics at 0:01 game 7

really, it was that disastrous from Chelsea

    unfateful? possible

    destiny against them? perhaps

    karma? maybe

hope it wont happen with Roger

so if i were to advise Roger, dont

just wait for another 1 or 2 years n u will see the result

  6. Yes, there is no reason for Jose Higueras to coach Federer anymore, the clay court season is over and he only needed the coach for mental conditions, it is mentioned that Higueras needed not to change the game for Federer but rather advise on what his opponents doesnt like specially Nadal and it didnt work out.. As the grass season starts, Federer already have the game needed.

  7. i believe so , he didn't make any announcement about that nor press conf. , but i think he is doing well with him , most of all he does give roger good tricks about clay , he doesn't really need him for other courts, other than for support
