Is Roommates.com worth it or craigslist?

Is Roommates.com worth the fee or is craigslist good enough? Anyone experience both?

Don't trust these sites because there are so many weird people on them.  I would asked your friends if they know any one.

I personally would avoid looking for a roommate online - just doesn't seem safe or trustworthy to me, but then again, alot of things aren't either.

What about posting an ad in your local paper or putting up a sign on a shopfront of someone you know - if they're ok with that?

Ive found plenty og good roomates on CL, its where more people look and post.
