  1. No she's not, but I've heard stories about her sister.

Sorry; the devil made me do it.

  2. I think it depends on how much knowledge of the language you already have. It is a great program if you go through all parts but the disadvantage is having to sit in front of a computer all the time to do it. I prefer audio that you can listen to while driving.

  3. Learning a language is a huge endeavour. Personally, I would not invest my money in Rosetta Stone, even though they'd like you to think it's the only way -- but it isn't. You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a lesson. Start with what you find at the public library and see if you are really motivated.

If you start learning Spanish, you might find it easy. You might not find it easy if you are learning Chinese. But whether you will actually follow through and spend the time it takes to learn the language thoroughly is an entirely different matter.

  4. It's fairly easy to me. I use it to supplement the classes that I have been taking at the university and while I dont think you could learn to speak an entire language using Rosetta Stone by its self, I do find that it helps me a lot on vocabulary and sentence structure. It is very expensive though and I personally dont believe its worth what it costs. Someone gave the discs to me but I believe the costs were around 500-600 hundred dollars for all the Spanish levels.

  5. Yes it is easy if you are starting at the beginning level.  I used it before I became a teacher and I still use it with my students.  They love it.  It's so much better than sitting around studying out of a book.  There are authentic French speakers on throughout the program.  I think you'll enjoy it.  Have fun!
