  1. Do you still believe that Russia defends anyone???

Medvedev and Putin defend just only their ambitions and innocent people die because of their ambitions!!!

  2. Defending their countrymen is a pretext.  They were waiting for an excuse to invade and try to depose the Georgian President.  Putin wants to recreate the Soviet Union.

  3. The Russians are trying to destroy a rival in the oil business.  Georgia is the state which was weak enough and accordingly its major oil hub was devastated.

  4. No,

Is the U.S at fault for bullying and intimidation of countries? Yes

Is the U.S at fault for killing 1,252,595 Iraqs?

    Yes

  5. no were not.

    Georgia started it.

the only reason we went in is because they almost slaughtered all of our 90% citizens in South Ossetia

  6. The reaction of President Mikhail Saakashvili to the attacks from separatists provided Moscow with some moral fig-leaf for the "defensive" action however crossing into Georgia proper was just as wrong as the original Georgian action.

That said I don't believe that Mr. Putin (who is the de facto ruler of Russia) cares much one way or the other about the South Ossetian people and merely used it as a pretext to flex his muscles in the region.
