Russia lost all the rest of its countries that now have independence from Russia that used to be long to it e.g Georgia , Ukraine and many more these countries had independence in 1991 august the 4th since the collapse of the soviet union which now is Russia but seems to be reclaiming these lands starting from 6th august and over throw these presidents and prime ministers of these countries. also this should get you thinking if Russia is only to get back at Georgia for Georgia killing 10 Russian piece keepers in south ossetia which is called Georgian aggression shelling that area on that night of 6 august 2008 this is a fact if Russia is not just protecting its Citizens in south ossetia why send over 150 tanks and more also with bombing on over 3 more different city's plus many more town and boming the international airport in Georgia also blocking Georgia's coast with Russia's fleet of battle ships which as already sunk a Georgian ship this is to show Russia is not in Georgia just to protect it's citizen's but to take over for what it lost and gaining it's USSR status. This could threat Europe and the rest of the world

this is a fact not a belief

  1. S.Osetia citizens ( mostly with Russian citizenship ) isn't people? Georgia has killed 1600 citizens.

ps. a lot of messages today with the same question... and answer.

  2. This war was really about!Who is the regional leader in that part of the world!

Russia evidently felt it was being 'hemmed in'!As more countries in the region gravitated towards NATO!

The problem really started with Joe Stalin who re-settled millions of people to act as a bastion against nationalism and unrest! But still would hold their allegiances to Russia!

So there we have Russia's excuse to march into Georgian territory! To protect Russian passport holders!

  3. While I watch the situation in Georgia, I have to wonder the same thing.  The Russians are using past Georgian crimes against the people of South Osettia as an excuse to invade the whole country.  Because they have the biggest army in the region, this has stopped countries like the Ukraine from coming to the aid of Georgia.  I think Russia is seeing what the world reaction will be to their invasion of Georgia.  Remember, they have a permanment seat on the security council and they have veto power.  Sanctions against them are pointless.  If the Russians perceive a very weak reaction from the world, then it is possible that they may start invading territories under former Soviet control.  This is all pure speculation as we have no facts or intel as to actual Russian intent at this point in time.  From watching the news, the Russians are still playing the deniability game despite reports from several reputable news agencies around the world that they are attacking targets and invading cities and towns outside of the contested areas.  This may or may not be the beginning of further regional unrest and strife as Russia seeks to reclaim it's former Soviet territories.  Only time will tell as to what true Russian intent is.  I feel that the CIA should have probably seen this coming, but once again have managed to fail to win a battle in the information and intelligence gathering war.  All we can do is watch and wait to see what the U.S. reaction will be along with the reactions of NATO and the UN.  I look for Georgia to officially be a part of Russia by the end of the week however.

  4. If they are, the world is pretty much screwed.

  5. If they attempt to, Don't expect the US to just watch the show while eating popcorn and drinking dr. pepper.

  6. No they are defending their ally South Ossetia.

  7. Russia has no intention Of taking Georgia back into the Russian Republic States. It was freeeing Ossetia from being taken over by georgia.  The show of force was to show Georgia that any future attacks would be put down with the same ferocity, as Osssetia wants to stay in the Russian states. Russia has now withdrawn all its Military.
