  1. Without going into too much detail...Technically Yes.

    HD has at least 720 horizontal lines(vertical resolution). Your monitor's full screen resolution is 1440x900. it has 900 horizontal lines.  

    It is not 1080 but it is still considered HD. It also does not have the typical 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio which is usually associated with HD TVs.

    All newer computer monitors have HD resolution.
