Is SAP fall down like mainframe?

Six months before I was interested to learn SAP because of attractive package.My friend who is working in SAP told me that you will find difficult in getting a job if u study SAP now and he also added that the package is also reduced.Five years before mainframe is also in the same way like SAP.
