  1. He has already left the country hard to see him or anyone making him come back

  2. Sonnys got a 5 year contract with the bulldogs, so its a big sacrifice if he`s going to axe if he makes a desicion.

hes got a high expectation of being loyal.. and speaking as his nuber one fan, reading mannyyyy of his inerviews regarding this issue, i belive, in my opinion he'll be staying with the bulldogs, in many of his interviews it relates to him comenting on the lack of loyalty some players have towards there team, and it is also belived that sbw`s home sick to NZ, so if he goes all the way to france, wouldnt that be hard ?  if money takes the best of him, well then i wish him good luck .

  3. Yes it is. he is in France right now he boarded the plane yesterday while i was watching the raider flog the titans Raiders!!!!!!!!! lol.

Thats was pretty selfish of him to for that while his team needs him. He actually got interviewed a couple of months back and he said that the Canterbury Bulldogs will get better and train more and have a come back, then he takes off on them. That is pretty low.

Anyway he is going to play with one of the French Rugby Union teams for 3 million dollars. But if he shows up here in Australia he will be very hated by his fans and even team mates because he left everyone behind for more money.

He used to wash cars for $9.56 an hour and the Nrl brought him up to play for them and he takes off. Without even telling anyone.

Hope this helped you Neil :]

  4. if he did not honour his contracts then he will not play any footy code anywhere on this planet.his manager should be sent to jail.as for sbw .who needs him.there are more life in the kennel without all this idiots.big willie the dogs, ogre fat has been.overrated anasta.go bulldogs forever.our great proud club had been in so many problems but we always overcome them.i'm a bulldogs fans till i die.win or lost proud to be a bulldogs.

  5. SBW has a contract with SBW for  5 years until 2012. It is highly likely that the Bulldogs will undertake legal action against SBW's decision to go overseas.

eliza.manly must be 12yo. Right, lets undermine the value of contracts and set sail for the horizon !!!(sarcasm added).

Back to the issue at hand. Seriously, I would suggest that the law probably will not FORCE SB to fulfil his contractual obligations. However, my guess is probably an award of damages for the value of the breach.

  6. oh well thank god he is gone then the bulldogs and find another good player and move on. The bulldogs will sue him and get all his money and they get more people for their team.

A good team always gets stupid people playing for them. Bulldogs will be fine. SBW wont be. Oh well bring on better players now..

  7. He left for france last night

  8. his already on a plane to france...

if they make him finish off the season he won't be too happy

he probably won't play well at all

    i say good on him

its his choice and he made it

i don't care if his on a contract he wants to go so he should go

  9. Like most people they hav jumped to conclusions that he has signed .... and until he actually signs a contract to play rugby he isnt in breech of the NRL at all... there will be some real egg on peoples face if he is only looking at the club rathr then signing... but until he has put pen to paper there is no breech... on that note... like what has been mentioned... maybe he needs to do something silly to hav his contract ripped up like so many promising league players have had... but tying people to contracts...nothing is certain in anything in this world... maybe league are relising they are starting to loose to many good players... watch out.. if he goes... more will follow... and it will happen eventually...

  10. I don't know what the answer is here. But it does appear to have been well thought by SBW and his team. Phil Kearns in the lead up to the rugby test tonight stated that to play in France one had to have their registration in by 15th July. Kearns said that he had seen SBW's name as a registered player  but had thought it was someones idea of a joke. Perhaps not.

What happens now? If a court rules that SBW must uphold the contract, they can't make him play so in theory they may have to pay him $400,000 plus per year to sit on the sideline. This ties up their salary cap but they don't have him on the field. Perhaps a massive fine then a release.

  11. Sonny Bill doesn't want to honour his contract and the nrl cry foul, then in the same breath they support canberra tearing up carney contract? Perhaps Sonny Bill should urinate on someone in a pub and the bulldogs will let him go

  12. Eliza.manly is right, news reports last night said he'd left for France already, & I don't think he will be missed too much. Not that he ever bothered me, but there's always someone bad-mouthing him.He will never play NRL again if indeed he has broken his contract.

  13. the real problem here is his scumbag manager.

ever since he changed management he's been threatening to do this and do that... his manager isnt even registered. he is the problem.

  14. No, he'll be gone for good if the reports are true. Either way this would be a win-win situation for the dogs though...$1.6M transfer fee for his contract straight up from the French club, and $450,000 of free salary cap space for next year to sign one of the top 1-20 players in the comp? Todd Carney anyone?
