Is SIMMS a quality brand in Snowboarding?

  1. That all depends on who's riding it.  

    All snowboards are pretty much the same other than inner core.  As long as you're buying something with a wooden core, you'll be good.  I hear they've made advancements with other core materials, but who knows.  I stick with what works.  

    Just make sure when buying the board, you get the right size for you, and the right boots.  A good rider can ride just about any board without problems.  I've been riding for about 12 years now and I spend maybe 300 bucks a board.  I've bought 800-1000 dollar boards, and I see hardly any difference other than weight.
