  1. No, it is a piece of c**p.  I had this monitor first and you could never hear anything but static and if you put batteries in it to use it without the cord, it gets even worse.  I took it back and got the fisher price lights and sound.  I love it.

  2. angel baby monitors are good you can get the ones that come with a mat that go under the babys matteress and tell you when there breathing and if there not an alarm gos off really good monitors

  3. Yes, as long as you don't get the cheapest one, get a middle of the road one.  I received one as a gift while I was pregnant, and I love it.  It was one that costs probably around $30, as opposed to the cheaper set that is only $20 or so.  I received the same brand, but cheaper set later on at my shower (I hadn't registered for any, they were the choice of the guests), and I tried it for the sitter to use at her house and it did not work at all.  The more expensive one, however, I have used since day one, my daughter is now 4 yrs, and no problems.  It has occasional interference, but very rare.  So good I could hear my daughter breathing in her room while she slept!  I'd recommend it to anyone.

  4. I didn't think mine was junk. I had the monitors that came in a two pack and you can plug them into the wall. I loved my monitors they lasted a long time too.
