I have seen some excited medalists from all over the world, but seriously, she had me laughing and crying all at the same time in last night's interview!

Have you seen any other Olympians show such exuberance at placing in their chosen sport? What did they do? How did they make you feel watching them?

Congrats to all the Olympians btw, just getting there is awe-inspiring for me!

  1. I didn't get to see her interview as i'm not in Australia and naturally other countries don't interview other athletes but her reaction to the win was priceless.  I loved it.  Good on her and i'm sure she'll deserve her hero's welcome she is sure to get when she returns home. Much like the rest of out Aussie athletes.

  2. Sally McClellan is only 21 so she is super-excited and super fun!

    we love her!!!

  3. Of course she is!!!! I just balled me eyes out that was pure emotion, she knew she had won and hey presto, bouncing bouncing bouncing da te da dum te dum skippy skippy wow what a gal, I thought yea, Sydney Westie for sure, but then with that Aussie flagged wrapped around her, I thought Silver, nah this Aussie Shiela has a heart of pure diamond coated plantenum whatever that is? Bigger than Pharlaps, but gave a gold medal winning press performance, imagine all the ah yea we went in early and took em out at the second quarter, boring! Nah, not this Aussie Chick pure genius, such Grace eloquence and style with flair and panache, what a babe too?

why she a relative of yours can I date her, chicks like her are sure to be married, yea she even got in a thank you to her boy friend, this will go down as one of the emortal olympic stories, from abscurity to startdom a true championette. But more, what did you think of the tears welling up to hear the story on our Veladome Silver. From Wheel Chair in January to Champion in August bye shear guts determination tenacity and true grit with perseverence pain and glory, both worthy of heart wrenching immorality in the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame, I saw Cathy Freemans joggers there, what a Gal remember Sydney 2000 the whole nation cried their eyes out for her, the pressure, the suit, the jive and now, well an olympic emortal too?

  4. I thought Sally was gorgeous, so natural and humble - and so incredibly grateful for winning her silver medal! She was a breath of fresh air, and for me, a real hero. I've become so disillusioned with those athletes who are so hellbent on winning gold that a silver medal isn't good enough for them. Go, Sally!

  5. I think that when she wasn't training for the hurdles, she was taking drama classes. It all sounded very over-rehearsed !

  6. She is what the Olympics is all about its great to see stars like Phelps and Bolt do well but its fantastic to see those you lest expect do so well and that goes for all countries forgotten sporting heroes.
