I'm writing a period piece (during the revolutionary war) and the main character's name is Samantha, but I'm not exactly sure that's an 18th century name, and I can't find any reliable sources or sites with Colonial names other than Elizabeth, or Mary or something. So, if u know if this is or isn't an 18th century name PLEASE let me know!!! And if it's not please leave suggestions for a replacement name. Thanks a million!
