I bought one at a Sears Outlet (floor samples/dents/dings/returns/etc) about 6 years ago and it's still going.

Not really on the subject but the first DVD player I bought (when they first became popular) was a Samsung and after about 1000 drops off the shelf and who knows what other kind of abuse I've doled out it still plays like new.

They seem to be sturdy machines
