Since I read that it has different names also and maybe I sought that it is called also a lucky plant in the book I read!!! So if it is a lucky plant, can I put this plant inside the house since it is also according to Fengshui that pointed plants are not good to keep inside the house!!

BTW.. will this plant survive with not too much light or just a household light and not sunlight??

Thansk!!!!!

  1. If they're lucky then I'm going to get some lottery tickets. I love my sansevieria plants. I have the tall standard ones both solid green and variegated, medium height ones and even bird's nest sansevieria. I like them because they don't take up lots of horizontal space, they can exist without fussy, frequent waterings and they're ideal for lower light places. That's one of the main reasons you see them in restaurants where there may not be much light. Also, they're great for cleaning the air naturally. They don't need to be repotted very often because they grow relatively slowly and they like to be pot-bound.

  2. I don't know whether it's lucky or not.  You can grow it in the house near a bright window.  They don't need direct sunlight.  They can get by without a whole lot of water.

If they're planted outside they spread by underground runners and tend to take over the whole garden.  I have a pot of them under a tree outside.

  3. Sanseveria trifascata is a very touch plant and in subtropical climates is an invasive weed. It can be kept indoors successfully but prefers some full sunlight.

I wouldn't worry about the superstition of Fengshui, just think about common sense. They are pointed and could perhaps be irritating in some positions indoors but, as to being good luck, don't let anyone pull your leg!
