The Santa Clause who gives the children their presents on Christmas is not of course real but the idea of such a generous priest is true .stories about this light hearted person are true and some say he is European but i read somewhere that he was a Turkish priest .who was very nice with children .

If your religous: yes

if your a innocent child: yes

if your a skeptic or adult: nope

If you are more religious than most then you would think yes, because he was actually declared as a Saint (Saint Nick) because of the miracle of delivering presents to good little boys and girls throughout the world that believe in him. But if you're a skeptic then most likely no, because as you grow older you come to realize that it is none other than your parents placing those presents under the tree (it was my mothers handwriting that did it in for me) but deep down it is a sense that it was like a childhood memory that even adults still cherish and present to their children's minds and hearts to help build their imagination and let them believe in something because as they grow older they tend to lose their sense of child like innocence and it's a way of holding on... that and make it to where they behave for at least a month. But yes as someone else said it, "Santa Claus is as real as one wishes him to be".

Um... No. The Santa Claus that is 'jolly, wears red jumpsuits and hats, and brings all the children of the world presents' is not real, sorry. However, the IDEA of Santa Claus comes from the Catholic Saint Nicolas who, back in the day, dropped  baggies of gold into the chimneys of poor people.

Of course Santa Clause is real. You see him in the mall, you can write him letters, he gives out gifts. If you truley believe then he is real if you don't thats okay too

well sorry, but no, it is usually your parents,i i still belive in santa! even though i know hat it is my parents! i have a b-day on x-mas, so i  do belive in santa, even if everyone else doesnt!!! i mean it is really fun think that there is a fat guy that is jolly, that gives you presents!!!!! that is so cool, i hope that you belive in santa!

to make my answer short, he was real, but he died a really really really long time ago.  But in a sence I guess you can say he is real, but he's dead.
