  1. Santa Rosa is the northern limit of Urban Sprawl, 55 miles north of The City. Locals do not normally say the are going to San Francisco, we go to The City and we do not use the word Cali. The town is as safe as any place else.

I am guessing you are not doing an in state move or you would not be asking. As such you must go to Petaluma and buy "real" sourdough at "Lombardi's" on Petaluma Blvd. It is available at some local markets too.

Healdsburg is the place to go for lunch. Willies Seafood is my choice. If you head to the coast and find yourself in Stinson Beach DO NOT eat anyplace other than the market, it's at the 4 way stop. Say "hi" to Sergio and his wife.

  2. Like any city, there are some sections that I would consider as undesireable.  Talk to a realtor.  It is a great city, good restaurants, stores, wine country nearby.

  3. this belongs somewhere else

  4. Santa Rosa has everything California has to offer. It has nature and every thing else. It has a nice environment and warm citizens. It has abundant parks, bike trails, great places to shop, and life rewards. Events happen all around places and they have Art and Culture programs.
