  1. No, not affirmative action... just desperation on the GOP side. They are really looking scared now. And she isn't a feminist by any rights so they aren't going to get those votes.

Some feminists didn't like Hillary because she played the "I'm a woman so I get special privileges" card.

  2. India votes in it's leader with the same philosophy. Their candidates always represent a certain minority group. It's an obvious attempt to get the Hilary votes. I still like Nader.

  3. The glass has already been broken.

He did need a woman though to have a chance.  I listened, or tried to listen, to her interview and got bored real fast. Won't be my choice as I don't see her as president, especially since McCain could kill over at any moment.

  4. The last time I looked, women were not in the minority.  She didn't win elections thru affirmative action.  She is a much needed change.  She has more executive experience than any of the others running.  McCain made a wise choice in selecting her.  Obama could have had an unbeatable ticket, but he chose old Washington politics.  ***

  5. No, she was picked for being a Washinton outsider her and yes because she is a competent woman who has achieved things other politican only talk  and dream about doing.

I would call giving your state a budget surplus and fighting and winnning against corruption in your own party very impressive, indeed.

  6. So you think McCain picked Palin with no regard to her usefulness to his campaign?

Considerate of him.... but I think she'll be an asset.

  7. How is it affirmative action again?  Last I checked, and I don't quite know if it is for every state, but governors have to be in this thing called an election to be voted for.

  8. I think McCain believes the V.P.'s job will be to stand around looking pretty and fetching coffee for the men.

    Sarah Palin = Harriet Miers

  9. Hmmm, I think Obama did it first:)

He wouldn't have graduated if they hadn't "fixed" his grades.
