  1. Yes she is. She has cut taxes and increased revenue in her state to the point of surplus.


  2. Probably not. As another answerer points out, Palin has a budget surplus on her hands in Alaska. But that's not hard to do when you have tax revenues from oil. There are also serious concerns over her Obama-style windfall tax on oil producers. The truth is, she doesn't have enough of a track record to know yet- she's only been governor for less than two years.

  3. No, she is not. Just as Bush ran as a fiscal conservative without being one, her record shows that she is in fact not a fiscal conservative. As mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, a small town of 5000 people, her only other job besides her brief term as governor and her seat in a school board, she left the town with $20 million in debt. That is $4000 per resident. If that much money were to be spent per resident in the US we would have an extra trillion dollars in our deficit.
