Is Sarah Palin a good example for American parents with a teenage daughter who is pregnant?

OMG. i think you all are just looking for more ways to put this woman down.  You don't know her and that scares you! I don't know her, but i know her as MY GOVERNOR and she is one strong woman, I think pretty much everyone in alaska will be voting for Mcain just because of Sarah Palin we could care less if her daughter is pregnant, she has done wonders for our state and the people here and how is her daughter's mistakes her fault? even the most "perfect parents" have daughters that get pregnant as teens, everyone needs to stop running their mouth about the problems with teenagers having s*x and getting pregnant, it's been happening for decades and it's just now getting all this publicity, keep and eye on your kids and WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN FAMILY.

What does having a pregnant daughter have to do with any of her qualifications to be vice president?  Does it affect her ability to understand or make decisions about international relations, the economy, the infrastructure, education, or social programs?  If she were a man, would you be asking this question?  

EDIT: Is it the vice president's job to be a role model for mothers?  If so, let's ask the same question about all the previous V.P.'s

i got pregnant as a teen. my bf raped me and got rid of my pills evertime he found them. people shouldnt put her at fault for that. even my mom couldnt keep me from being pregnant. nobodys perfect

Her daughter isn't pregnant. She is supposed to be the mother of Sarah's last child though nothing has be proven.

I think Sarah is a good example for parents of pregnant teenagers, as she's being supportive of her daughter, and there's not much a pregnant teenage girl needs more than her parents' support.

I don't think it reflects negatively on Sarah at all - her daughter was at the age where parents don't have much control over their kids, they can just try to teach them right from wrong and hope they listened and help them learn from their mistakes.

I think it is rather ironic, as it absolutely disproved the rumors that Trig is not Sarah's child (rather ridiculous, and no more plausible than the 'Obama is a terrorist' rumors if you ask me) yet the denial of one supposed family secret exposes a teenage girl to what is sure to be excessively harsh public scrutiny.

Hypocrisy would have been if Sarah had pressured Bristol to get an abortion while claiming that she was 'pro-life'.

A teenagers actions are not always a reflection of their parent.  I know I did a lot of things as a teenager that would have mortified my mom.  And she was a wonderful nurturing parent.

It is ignorant to assume that everything a child does is a direct result of parenting, or lack therof

Being pregnant in high school is so common now, its the new norm. So you can't judge a person based on that .

I'm a strong Obama-Biden supporter.  I don't agree with Palin's politics at all and I don't think she's remotely qualified to be a (rather elderly) heartbeat away from the presidency.

But her daughter's pregnancy is completely irrelevant to Palin's ability to lead and should not even be part of the news cycle.  Obama has said as much quite forcefully himself.  I think it's disgraceful that anyone is seizing on the story at all.  

And, as a matter of fact, in this particular matter, yes, she's a good example in that she's supporting her daughter in a time of crisis.

I think it would be great, but the thing is is that YOU need to talk to her, not the book! I have 7 kids and it is sooooooooooo hard, but I talk to them through everything, and remind them that God is in control!
