Since you had to ask, in many people's view, anyone who is not a white male would be an affirmative action pick.

Is the perception accurate?  Basically, that view purports that white males are superior both to non whites and to women as well.  It is a most unfortunate prejudice.

of course.  obama accepted the nomination of the anniversary if the "I have a dream" speech by MLK.  Palin was chosen on the anniversary of the women's suffrage.  Coincidence?  nah
