Is Sarah Palin meaner, in terms of making personal attacks on others, than McCain, Obamma, and Biden?

Or is she just playing the attack dog role that has been given her. Is there really a loving, Christian person behind all her venom?

  1. Yes, but I think that was the role chosen for her by the McCain camp. They can use her to voice things for McCain that they don't want seen coming out of his mouth because it would sully his image.

Its clever politics if you ask me. And Palin's combative nature is suited to the role. She is also a difficult target for the Democrats to retaliate against, because they risk the "sexist" label, especially after Hillary fell to the wayside in their own primaries.

So yes, meaner, because it is politically useful for the Republicans to have someone in that role.

Its hard to assess Palin as an individual though. She is not standing for president herself and the role she is assigned in the campaign will probably not reveal much about her personally.

  2. What Venom. They hit this women in the last six days with every thing but the kitchen sink, Obama has been treated like a rock star, Obama has more skeletons his in closet than Ripleys,If the truth comes out about this man he couldnt get elected Dog Catcher,The Media is protecting him,Its Unbelievable what America Doesnt know about this Fraud

  3. It's too early to tell for sure, but so far she would certainly be in the running to be one of the meanest women in Washington. Maybe women attracted to politics are just meaner than other women and men. I don't know, but it's a puzzle. A recent story in the Houston Chronicle reports that a survey showed that among the five meanest people in the Senate and the House, three are women. That's over 60%, and women are still only a small percentage of the Senate and Congress as a whole.

It's probably true, as you assume, that to some extent she's just playing the typical attack dog role assigned most VP candidates. But how much is put on and how much is real will take some time to tell.

  4. Yes, it does seem that a fairly high percentage of women in the US House and Senate are meaner than their male counterparts. And yes, that is contrary to what I've found to be true of women in general. And I think you are right in assuming that to some extent Palin is playing the attack dog role and may not really be quite so mean as she is now coming across. So I'll just sit back for now and enjoy the show and wait to see how she acts as the months go along. Good question.

  5. She gave the speech that was given to her to make.McCain(Good Cop) Palin(bad Cop)Dont be so naive

  6. She ain't mean she just don't take c**p from any one. She is on tough woman.

  7. I think she is direct.  It makes me think of something I believe Margaret Thatcher said about herself....I've never been a .diplomat. I've never had to be.  I was searching for a source r/t this quote and found this wonderful page of Thatcher quotes.

  8. She is an attack dog. All she can do is insult people and their accomplishment's to hide her own lack-off accomplishments.

  9. I think she's a person that tells the truth. I believe her to be a fair person.

  10. Sometimes the truth hurts and when you are hurting, I can see why you would label the truth-teller as mean; however, if you are objective, you must admit that for the past two years, Obama has been insulated from any hard or confrontational questions by the media.  I suspect if you thought Palin was mean in her acceptance speech, you may want to brace yourself for the next two months because the questions are not going to get any easier.

  11. She seems like an extreme *****.  I really feel sorry for her kids especially the baby that has down syndrome.  Poor little fella.  He really needs more of his mother's care than the others and if *laugh* they get in that kid will suffer.

  12. I think she is every bit as mean as the speech she gave. Is she getting kid glove treatment because she is a woman*****************

  13. She's the sacrificial lamb.

Look for McCain to get everything out of her that he can, then dump her for someone else.

  14. liberals have you believing that she is evil, turn off Oprah and join the Hillary supporters to send the message. vote McCain/ Palin
