  1. Scotland is part of the United Kingdom (which also has England and Northern Ireland)

    Ireland is independent.

  2. Scotland WAS NOT, IS NOT and NEVER WILL BE part of England.

If anything, it was originally the other way round. In 1603, on the death of Elizabeth, the English Parliament offered the English Crown to the King of Scotland, James VI.

The call for Scotland to regain its independence grows by the day. Only yesterday, one of the "quality" English newspapers was reporting that Scotland would be independent within a decade.

Scotland, unlike England, Wales or Northern Ireland, has regained its own Parliament, with tax-raising powers. In 2007 the sterile, corrupt Labour/Lib Dem coalition was rejected by the Scottish electorate, replacing it with the resourceful, dynamic Scottish Nationalists.

  3. Neither is true. Both Scotland and England are constituent countries of the United Kingdom, along with Wales and Northern Ireland.

  4. Scotland and England are both Countries in their own right- Scotland has the same 'status' as England

Both are part of the UK and British Isles

Ireland is part of the British Isles, not part of the United Kingdom. Norther Ireland IS part of the UK
