Bruce Lee said that self help is the only help you need. I believe that's true, however, we often need the help of other people to point us in the right direction, give us feedback and to introduce ideas or plans that we could not have thought of ourselves. Your beliefs will certainly determine your future to a large degree but you need interaction with the right people in order to shape beliefs that are helpful and positive.

The answer of both questions is: Yes! Absolutely! You are the one can really help yourself. Even when you ask help to somebody to solve a personal problem, you are helping yourself. And about beliefs don't you think that when you're sure about something this is exactly as you think? This is true also for your future. Sorry for my English, I hope I made me understood. Ciao

That sounds like two totally different and unrelated questions..

Self-Help really does help. I was able to beat alcoholism on my own. It was extremely hard but make me grow as a person and become mentally stronger.

About the beliefs determining your future. I agree with that. I think if you believe in yourself and that you are going to be successful than it is more likely to come true. You will take chances and put yourself out there to succeed/fail. And I do kind of believe in the Law of Attraction that what you think about and the thoughts you put out into the world somewhat shape what goes on around you.

beliefs are not enough ,actions will determined your life and self help will probably help if you know in whats areas you need improvement .usually a person can't really be honest with is issues so you need someone honest from the outside to point out your issues..

I do as well. I'm using the law of attraction and God to keep my head stable and ready for life now because my current environment/situation is rather un-bearing at moments. The future is never written in stone.
