Is September a good time to visit Istanbul?

Can I expect it to be sunny and warm in september, or rainy and chilly? Also can you recommend a cafe with a nice setting?

I heard cafe Lotti is nice...is it?

  3. I in october and it was still warm enough for shorts and tee-shirts or light jacket. Very nice, the breeze keeps the air clean.  I was suprised there was not more smog for a city so huge. But, Turks, unlike us Americans, utilize public transit.

    I would definitely go back. I have been to Sydney Australia, NYC, San Fran,Odessa in Ukraine, Chicago, LA, Winnipeg, San Juan Puerto Rico and WInnipeg Canada... I would say Istanbul is my favourite so far.

    not so hot, not cold. you can wear t-shirts during the day. at night if you are in the coast you need a sweatshirt or smt it may get windy.

  5. It is both. Traffic is terrible though. Go to cafes in Taksim region. For night life you should visit Reina...
