Is Serie A the right destination for RCD Espanyol’s Dani Osvaldo – La Liga Debate
Pablo Daniel Osvaldo has been in the news for his protracted transfer to Italy. The attacker has garnered a lot of interest from the continent, with Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and AS Roma willing to fight for his signature. However, it looks like that the
player has his heart set out at Serie A which has witnessed him crash and burn with four different clubs before.
All the mentioned club sides need to reinforce their attacking lines after tumultuous transfer campaigns. Having already lost Sergio Aguero, Atletico are set to lose Diego Forlan to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan who want to bring him in as a replacement for Samuel Eto’o.
The club need an effective replacement for the Uruguayan star and have lined up the Argentine for the purpose.
English league side Tottenham have been in the market for a quality hitman for quite some time now. After being priced out of moves for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero, the North London side have set their eyes on the Espanyol hitman, who was their only
source of rejuvenation in a less than successful season.
AS Roma on the other hand want to reinforce their attacking line up following the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, and Luis
Enrique has outlined Osvaldo as the possible replacement.
At Roma, Osvaldo will link with boyhood favourite, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940, and will be a part of the American revolution in the historical city. They have already reinforced their side with quality individuals and will be challenging for the title in the upcoming
campaign. With no one reliable to partner http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bojan-Krkic-c7794 in attack, Dani Osvaldo looks like a perfect addition.
Blessed with sizzling burst of pace, he can take on defenders with his trickery and physicality and has an astute positioning to go with it to make him one of the most lethal attackers in the modern game. This is all without even considering his heading
ability, which makes him a touch above the other candidates for reinforcement at the club. Better still, his heart is set at a move to the Italian capital and looks set to get his wishes.
However, he has failed in his previous attempts of breaking through the ranks of Serie A. In his outings with Atlanta, Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna, he failed to find any sort of goalscoring consistency, effecting the scorers only sporadically with his
efforts.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, where he has found the success he can claim so far. First with his initial six month loan spell and then in complete season with Espanyol, he has outshined his teammates as he proves his metal in La Liga.
Given his statistical history; following him from Huracan to Atlanta and then his failed endeavours in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 at this point does not warrant
any degree of success.
Atletico Madrid will be a better venue for him, as he will take his goalscoring pedigree to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276. Roma is not the right destination for him, as he has failed in
the league before and experimenting at this stage of his career is ill advised.
