Is s*x after HSG ok?

Question

Hey guys,

I had a HSG today to test for any fertility and have a quick question. I have read varying information about whether it is ok to have s*x right afterwards. My hubby leaves for deployment for 7 months tomorrow and I would really like to be with him at least one more time before he leaves:( The doctor never said anything about abstaning so was wondering whats the normal advise etc.

Oh, btw both my tubes were open and fine, so I guess waiting on my hubby's results..

I've had two of those done, and the most recent was two weeks ago.  I have been told it is perfectly fine to have s*x afterwards.  They encouraged me to get busy!  I was also told that you are 10-15% more likely to conceive for the next two cycles after having one done.  My husbands military too, so I know how those deployments go, good luck and enjoy baby dancing!!! I hope you get a BFP asap!!!

I waited a day after mine to have s*x. I would call the doctors office and ask them just to be sure. Good luck!

If you feel ok then go for it! I did it the next day, but thats because i was awfully crampy all night the day of.
