Is Shanti a common name in India?

My partner is Indian and we are expecting a daughter. I want to know if Shanti will be a good name in India, or is it too common?? Probably helps if you're Indian to answer this question!

well im indian and my friends name is Rea and its indian and its easy for people to pronounce.

If you want a common name Priya is really common.

Shanti means peace.

You don't hear it too often but I think you will start to see it more now because just recently a big blockbuster film released "Om Shanti Om"

And the lead actress in the film was name "Shanti"

uh Riya, Maha is more common try Riya spelled Ria or something like that
