Is Siciliy worth a visit...is it expensive?

Sicily is phenomenal. In short mate, it is well worth the visit. If your flying from the uk you can get a cheap flights (not direct to there) for next to nothing then take the train down the west coast of italy.

Personally i'd fly with ryanair to ciampino in Rome - if you catch it right couple of quid - spend a night or two there then take the train down and its only a shrt boat trip. The price of things in sicily is reallly cheap and the locals will make a fuss over you. I got ivited in for a meal one day when i asked for directions even tho my italian is limited to hello. lol

If you would like your visit to be like an episode of the sopranos then yes visit it. Whats more authentic than a bunch of spaghetti sucking waps in vests going "ehhh" at all the widows in black on their way to mass to light a candle for their dearly departed and firmly whacked husband.
