Is Sidney Crosby the Miley Cyrus of the NHL?

Sorry for the questions, just I was reading the newspaper and yet another article on Miley Cyrus appeared in it, therefore gradually expanding my hate for her.

Just look at some of the comparisons:

Some people hate them, some people f**king love them.

Some people think that they are both totally "hawt" and attractive, while others think they are totally ugly.

They are both the cornerstones and posterchildern of their companies. (Crosby - Pittsburgh Penguins/NHL; Cyrus - Disney)

They both take on the same careers as their fathers; success varies for each of them.

They are both extremely overexposed.

They both make abundances of money.

They both have won many, many awards.

They began their professional careers around roughly the same time(2003); stardom and fame came around 2005-2006 for the both of them.

The only difference is, is that Crosby is at least talented at what he does.

I don't mean to offend any Miley Cyrus fans...but she just sucks. I'm sorry.

I know there are probably many more comparisons, but thats all I can think of. If you can think of more, go ahead and share them. =]

There are many similarities.  However, if you ever are confused and need to tell them apart, Miley is the one who doesn't dive.

They both have big teeth lol.  And I agree with you - Crosby is talented, Cyrus ISN'T...at all.  No ounce of talent - can't sing, can't act, can't keep a clean public image.  Crosby at least doesn't have half nude photo scandals lol.

Well, Miley Cyrus posted "dirty" pictures of herself somewhere where she was only wearing a bra or something didn't she????

Whenever Sidney does something like that THEN we'll know he's the Miley Cyrus of the NHL.

I find your comparisons interesting to read and kind of true. The only difference is that there are way more Miley/Hannah Montana c**p in stores. I was at Walmart yesterday and i was getting sick of seeing Hannah Montana stuff in every isle i went down. Even kitchen utensils and fabric...argh.. so when i saw something else with her wide as smile on it- i would point and tell my boyfriend. At the end of the shopping trip we were so sick of seeing her face everywhere in the store! So if Sidney was on EVERYTHING, i think i wouldnt mind as much. I personally think hes nicer to look at then Smiley Miley!

I mean they've both been shoved into our faces by media!

In my opinion they both have much talent!

BUT

Crosby knows how to take care of him self.... and no have nude picture scandals

And Crisby for the most part is much smarter than she is

I can see that. They're both shoved down our throats like there's no tomorrow and has a following of brainwashable wagon. Cyrus has a bigger wagon though.

No. Definitely not.

Sidney Crosby has talent, whereas Miley Cyrus (which that isn't even her real name & don't ask how i know that either lol) has absolutely no talent.

Sidney Crosby is famous for being able to play hockey. Being able to (help) lead a team. Miley Cyrus on the other hand is living off of songs she hasn't even wrote, & she's probably only in the business because her father needs more money...

The Kid is not a teeny-bopper. Hey, my mom always said " if you have nothing nice to say ..." I am sure Crosby would gladly give up some of the media attention for some quiet time. Not sure I can say the same for Miss Miley.

I wonder if they both inherited their father's ability to grow facial hair.

This is actually 100% true. Interesting comparison, I would have never though to compare the two but when you think about it they are very similar.

Another comparison (it's lame, I know):

They have achieved so much success at such a young age

They both did covers where they took some of their clothes off

Well they both are seen a lot of places. But I see darn Hannah Montana like all over the place. I only see Sid if I am near hockey. She is everywhere and I am tired of seeing and hearing about her.

d**n do we ever need to have that puck drop SOON. The insanity has reached a fever pitch now that people are forced to combine Miley Cyrus and Crosby comparisons.

Don't worry we are all anxiously awaiting the start of the season as well. The only saving grace for me is that the NFL regular season begins in 2 weeks.
