Will the carpet be 'pulled up' by the (small) dogs playing and chasing each other over it? Also will it stain easily? Thanks very much for any help!

  1. sisal pattern carpets 99% percent of the time have a loop pile, loop pile is one of the best pile types for durability. They dont flatten out like the longer cut pile carpets.

the cleaning side of it depends on what the fibre is made out of, stay away from pure wool, its dated and nowdays man made fibres are just as soft as wool, and are so much easier to keep clean.

wool accepts/soaks in moisture (stains) and is hard to get out. where as nylon and other man made fibres dont accept any moisture into the pile they dont stain as easily.

its likley that the dogs claws will pull a few threads here and there, i get called to fix that exact problem ALOT ! But then im sure some dogs do it and some dont.

as for the dirt, try to vacuum every time the dogs get it dirty.

dirt is a major factor in wearing carpet out, the dirt gets down into the backing and as you walk on it, it acts like a sandpaper and wears the carpet out !

    good luck.
