Is Skippy peanut butter vegetarian and/or vegan?

If so, is it just one variety or all of them? I know they don't contain animal fat, but not sure about the other ingredients.

I'm not vegan, not interested in info about health, taste or people's preferences or other brands ... just want to know if this particular brand is veggie or vegan. Thanks.

  1. Peanut Butter of any kind is good for a person, but not in access. Like anything else, too much isn't good either. peanuts are as good as Peanut butter made of the same thing. Basically.

  2. There's nothing on it but peanuts! :-)

  3. Skippy has trans fats! Anything with hydrogenated oil in it means it has TRANS FATS! I find it interesting that when you go to the site, they give you this song-and-dance about it being 90% peanuts with vegetable oil as a stabilizer. Why not just list the ingredients as they do on the label? Because they don't want you to read it! Look at the part where they talk about trans fats and they use the term "by FDA definition," which I ASSume means that there is some level where it's acceptable up to a point and you can label it 'trans fats free.'

  4. What are the ingredients in Skippy® peanut butter?

Skippy® peanut butter contains over 90 percent select roasted peanuts. It also contains extremely small amounts of vegetable oil stabilizers to improve smoothness and prevent separation, plus a small amount of sugars and salt to enhance the peanut flavor. For additional information on ingredients in Skippy® products visit our Nutritional Facts section.

    Is Skippy® peanut butter gluten-free?

Yes, all varieties of Skippy® peanut butter, Roasted Honey Nut, and Reduced Fat peanut butter spread are gluten-free.

Ok, it is not vegan because it contains honey..

  5. Its vegetarian. There should be no once live parts of animal in the peanut butter.  they usually use plant oils like olive oil, to hold the peanut butter together.

Though it does have butter in it (from cow milk), (Idk if vegetarians consume dairy pruducts like milk.)

  6. If there are other ingredients..avoid it.  Just get a natural no stir variety...I think Skippy even have one.

  7. Maybe try natural peanut butter.
