Is Snowboarding or Skiing harder?

I've been a ski and snowboard instructor for 5 years. Generally learning skiing is picked up quicker by most. However everyone is different and there are many people that pick up snowboarding just as quickly. But I do believe that learning the concept of edge to edge contact on snow is more easily learned from skiing, and once you mast that you can pick up snowboarding much faster than people that jump right into snowboarding

i had no problem in learning.  one of my friends was and she made the comment that i was not having trouble as, i didn't care if i got hurt.

ive been skiing since i was 5 years old, and i tried snowboarding a few years ago. Its way harder. i think it might be easier to snowboard if you know how to skateboard well

snowboarding is deffinately harder.  

There is alot more balance that you need to obtain, and when you think about it, when you are skiing, you have twice the leverage, and twice the balance.  However, from personal experience, because snowboarding has this difficulty factor, it makes it alot more fun and can give you a bigger adrenaline rush (which personally, is why I have stuck with it.)

i snowboard. but i started off skiing when i was little. i think skiing is easier and snowboarding is harder. but if you are reallly dedicated to the sport of snowboarding you willl nail it down and you'll get it in no time!

skiing is harder once you know how to do both

when i went skiing straight after snowboarding i felt like i was gona twist my leg at every corner and had 2 switch back after just 2 hours :(

I learned skiing first and thought it was hard (when i was 5), but when I tried snowboarding (17) i almost killed myself going downhill. So I think snowboarding is harder, but that might be only because I didn't practice long enough.
