A social organization is a group designed to bring likeminded people together...the group's focus could be anything...bowling, singing, reading, whatever it might be. A political organization also brings likeminded people together, but usually so that they can organize a strategy to promote their thoughts. A social organization is relatively a means to an end....you go to the event to socialize. A political organization is simply a step farther. You go to the event, you consolidate, and you attempt to change something in society that you think can be improved.
