I still have time to switch my hotel reservation in London, I think it is in Soho based on looking at the map, but the address is only listed as Sussex Gardens.

Thanks for your answer!

  1. Sussex Gardens is not in Soho. Its a road in the Paddington area, just off the Edgware Road and not far from Oxford Street, and has a lot of small, fairly cheap hotels in it. As a result of that , it has something of a reputation for low-level prostitution, although it is really quite safe.

Soho itself is very safe these days. The reputation as London's red light district is old-fashioned and no longer deserved, and it is very cosmopolitian and trendy with a high g*y population.

  2. soho is fine, it is the media industry hub of london. All the major production companies, vfx houses and tv channels are based there. It is bristling with energy, great bars & restaurants, there is only really one road left with anything overtly "red light" on it, and even then it's very tame and innocuous. more of a tourist attraction than inner city den of iniquity and crime. :-)

sussex gardens is between hyde park and regents park to the west of soho, a fair distance from it.

  3. NO NOT REALLY ITS ONE OF LON DONS MOST EXCLUSIVE AREAS TO LIVE IN AND RELATIVELY LARGE AS WELL.

IT IS RIGHT IN CENTRAL LONDON SO ITS ALWAYS BUSY AND ALWAYS PACKED WITH TRAFFIC AND IT IS REALLY BUILT UP AND URBAN THE ONLY PROBLEM IS PART OF IT IS LON DONS RED LIGHT (s*x) DISTRICT AND IT CAN GET NOISY ROUND THERE SOMETIMES AND CRIME DOSE HAPPEN BUT RARELY ITS IS ACTUALLY A BEAUTIFUL AREA FULL OF BEAUTIFUL GEORGIAN BUILDINGS SO I IMAGINE YOUR HOTEL WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING TO SO ENJOY IT THERE.

SOHO'S BORDERS AND BOUNDARIES ARE THE FOLLOWING ROADS

THE ROADS OF TRAFALGAR SQUARE(SQUARE NOT ROAD) AND PALL MALL EAST MAKE THE SOUTHERN BORDER.

THE ROADS OF HAYMARKET ,PICCADILLY CIRCUS(JUNCTION) AND REGENT STREET MAKE THE WESTERN BORDER.

THE ROAD OF OXFORD STREET MAKES THE NORTHERN BORDER

AND THE ROADS OF CHARING CROSS ROAD AND ST MARTINS LANE MAKE THE EASTERN BORDER.

    SUSSEX GARDENS

OH AND SORRY BUT YOUR HOTELS IN PADDINGTON AND BAYSWATER AREA.

SUSSEX GARDENS IS A MAJOR ROAD IN PADDINGTON/BAYSWATER AND YOU CAN GET THE CENTRAL LINE THERE IF YOU GET OF AT LANCASTER GATE AND THE HAMMERSMITH AND CITY AND OTHER LINES IF YOU GET OFF AT PADDINGTON RAILWAY STATION WHICH IS LITERALLY JUST UP THE ROAD FROM SUSSEX GARDENS.

BAYSWATER AND PADDINGTON IS STILL RIGHT IN CENTRAL LONDON SO YOULL BE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.

AND JUST TO LET YOU KNOW BAYSWATER AND PADDINGTON IS A BEAUTIFUL AREA WITH LOADS OF PRETTY GARDENS SQUARES AND PARKS BUT STILL REALLY URBAN AND FANCY WITH LOADS OF HISTROICAL BUILDINGS IT CAN GET NOISY BUT THATS PRETTY MUCH IT.

ENJOY YOUR STAY AND ENJOY PADDINGTON AND BAYSWATER.

    HOPE THIS HELPS :)
