Is Somac (40 mg) an antibiotic? And can you drink alcohol whilst on it?

    This site says your doctor may advise you to limit alcohol intake, but does not counter indicate it.

    Somac is not an antibiotic.  Somac is a proton pump inhibitor.  It is used to treat stomach ulcers. GERD and acid reflux, which incidentally all are irritated by the use of alcohol.  So you may want to limit your use anyway.
