Yes, the A200 is a good DSLR. It has in-camera image stabilization so every lens used will have that benefit. It can also use every legacy Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985. However, for about $100.00 U.S. more you can have the Sony A300 which features Live View that works with the auto focus.

Yes it is. I bought the previous model the A-100 about 2 years ago. I have no compaints whatsoever. Sony DSLR'S are not as common as the Canon or the Nikon brands. However most camera image proccesors are made by Sony.You will be amazed at the image quality. But the Canon and Nikon brands are very good as well.

Ritz camera has it listed here in the states for$499.00. You will want a 2GB card and perhaps a spare battery so add about $100.
